He was facing 7 counts of NCGS § 14‑190.17 and a maximum sentence of 34 years if he would have decided to go to trial. He was already an RSO, but his registration was set to expire eventually before this. He is now a lifetime RSO. The interview took place on 20 Apr 24, and now the case is already wrapped up. Usually plea deals take at least a year. This one moved very fast. He began serving his sentence on 5 Sep 24. Projected Release Date: 28 Oct 30.
