Christ Our Passover - The significance of Christ fulfilling the law as the Passover Lamb

As the world celebrates Christ's resurrection this Easter, we often miss the significance of Christ fulfilling the law as the Passover Lamb. In every respect, Jesus is our Passover, and by His blood, the Lord passes over our sin and guilt and delivers us from the coming wrath. As the perfect sacrifice, the Passover Lamb is indeed Jesus, who fulfills all that was needed to be our propitiation. Let’s examine Christ, Our Passover.

Takeaway:
John the Baptist stated it up front: Jesus is the Passover Lamb of God. Paul clearly points out that Christ is our Passover. He ties the sacrifice of Jesus Christ to the feast of the Passover. However, he is not implying that the Christian believers are to continue to keep the Passover. In fact, Christ fulfilled it where we are concerned, though it will be an ordinance for Israel forever. It is the blood of Christ that atones for sin. Just as the blood was struck on the doors in Egypt, so will the blood of Christ meet the requirement for righteousness and deliverance from wrath when God judges the earth with its gods soon.
