Former President Donald Trump’s Manhattan criminal trial was disrupted by shouting on Thursday.

During the trial, Trump’s lawyer mentioned text messages involving Dylan Howard, former editor-in-chief of the National Inquirer, prompting an interruption from the prosecution.

New York Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan suggested redacting certain details from text messages, addressing both the defense and prosecution.

Trump’s lawyer, Emil Bove, initiated discussion about the text messages, starting with “This is a text message between Dylan Howard and,” only to be cut off by the prosecution.

Katherine Fung from Newsweek, present in the courtroom, noted that the prosecution interjected with a loud “woah” during Bove’s statement. Bove promptly apologized, stating, “Sorry, I didn’t mean that,” in response.

Trump, facing charges related to hush money payments to Stormy Daniels, appeared in court as the trial continued.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has accused Trump of falsifying business records to conceal information during the 2016 election, Newsweek reported.
