San Diego now top border region for migrant arrivals

San Diego has recently surpassed Tucson as the top region for migrant arrivals along the southern border, marking the first time in decades.

Migrant arrests in San Diego surged to 8,989 for the week ending April 16, while Tucson recorded 7,500 arrests for the week ending April 19.

This increase in San Diego’s migrant numbers is part of a larger trend, with arrests rising by 36% over two weeks, the Los Angeles Times reported.
