First, WHY did Michael Stipe use the Number 151 for the Oddfellow Lodge??? Because 151 in Simple Gematria is Jesus Christ, which sets the Tone for the Entire Song...

Second, WHO is the Character of Pee Wee, and why is he Preaching to the Heathens behind the Fire Hall? To Innerstand what Pee Wee represents, we must go back to Gematria and Decode Each word, 'Pee' is 26 in Simple Gematria, which is God, while 'Wee' is 33 in Simple Gematria, which represents Christ Jesus, once again...and if we connect Pee Wee together, that is 59 in Gematria, which is 'The God', which is the Totality of the Father and the Son...

Washing is Cleansing, or Fasting, and Blood is of the Body; thus, Washing off the Blood is STOPPING our SINFUL Ways for a Life filled with Virtue, Kindness and Purity...Wash off the Rum represents Cleansing what we PUT INTO OUR MOUTHS, such as the 'Food' we eat and the 'Beverages' we Drink, as we CANNOT be with Christ, nor Rise to God when we POLLUTE our Bodies with Destructive, Acidic Death Foods like Meat, Dairy and Eggs, and Alcohol...it also is referencing the Power of FASTING the Body, and the Mind...

But in the Second Verse it features, 'Wash off the 151', which we Know represents Jesus Christ, but it is also 'Christ Cross' and the Cleansing of Christ's Cross is a Spiritual Thing, as ONLY Christ's Fire of Righteousness and Purity, upon High Within us, can Cleanse His Cross; thus, it refers to having PURE FAITH in God, even if it is the Size of a Mustard Seed...as long as our 'Seed of Faith' is WHOLE, then it means we WHOLLY Trust that God will Guide our Lives precisely where He Means them to go...which is to Find Him in Heaven and Achieve Peace of Mind...

And again, by making this Entire Song about the Oddfellows, one of the Righteous Arms of Freemasonry, a Branch that reaches Out to the Fallen Man within Communities, in the Hopes of Planting Christic Teachings into both their Hearts and Minds, so that One Day in their Bright Futures, these Seeds will take Hold and Begin to Grow Within them, Bringing them Closer to 'Pee Wee' (Christ our Lord) as he Sits upon the Wall behind the Firehouse where the Heathens Rage, in Stillness, Silence and Purity...
