The 1892 Gleason's Map & Flight Paths

When researching flight paths / trajectories it is clear that the flight paths do not make any sense when assuming a globe, but workout perfectly when imposed on a flat earth map. One specific case of an emergency landing for a birth on a plane really illustrates this well.
