In a recent interview you said that Russia is destroying NATO. What did you mean by that?

John Mearsheimer, American political scientist:
“I meant that if you look at what is happening on the battlefield or what the Russian troops are doing in the airspace against Ukraine, they are winning.”

“They actually destroy all sorts of Ukrainian objects from the air and inflict enormous damage on Ukrainian combat units. And since the US and its European allies are inextricably linked to Ukraine, we are de facto fighting with the Ukrainians and therefore losing on an equal footing with them.”
