In the chambers of the heart, there lies a door,
A threshold unseen, yet felt to the core.
It guards the secrets, the hopes, and the fears,
A sanctuary of emotions, through laughter and tears.

This door of the heart, it opens wide,
To welcome love, to let it inside.
It beats with passion, with longing, with grace,
A symphony of feelings, a sacred space.

But this door, too, can close and shut,
When hurt and pain leave scars to cut.
It shields the heart from further harm,
A fortress of strength, a soothing balm.
