Day 115| Thistles and Cedars | Daily Bible Reading - 2 Kings 12-14

In these chapters we see the progression of the kings of Judah and Israel, some doing evil, others doing what is right. But none of them have the passion for the Lord that King David had. It results in varying degrees of success and failure, to outright overthrows. Elisha, nearing the end of his life, makes one final prophecy; and from his grave, a miracle happens. Then we find Judah asking for war with Israel. The king of Israel tells him a parable of a thistle and cedar- a warning. But Judah wants war. Read along to see what happened.
