Diamond left this Earth on May 11th, 2023. She was my shining light, my best friend, my one true love. The pain is just as deep today as it was that very day she left me. I wished I had of went with her. I want to be where she is....

My life has and will never be the same without her.

The day we met,
I knew you were the one.
I couldn’t wait to bring you home.
Your quirky ways made me laugh.
Your intentional tail slapping
On the doors always got my attention.

Your days on the streets were over
And now you have a home full of love.
You were my one true love
Even though you had four feet.
My life was complete just being
With you every moment of every day.
I didn’t want to stay gone from home too long
Cause I missed you already.

I tried to give you a great life and I believe that I did.
You were happy and that made me happy.
You were my world, the light in my life.
The one thing that got me out of bed each day
No matter how bad I felt.

When your eyes looked at mine,
I could see and feel your thoughts.
I knew what you were thinking.
Even though you talked to me,
I didn’t understand your language
But I always knew what you were saying and
You always seemed to know what I was saying.
We were connected.
We were one.

Now you are gone and I feel so alone.
The house is quiet, and there are no hugs to give to you.
Your absence has turned my world upside down.
I don’t know how to carry on without you here.
I fought hard to save you and you fought hard to live.
I am so sorry your time was cut short.

Without you I have a hole in my heart that I can’t fill.
What do I do with me, without you in my world?
I lost my best friend that I truly loved more than life.
