Ivy League Students ARRESTED For Protesting Israel

Several students were arrested at Yale University Monday morning after refusing to ditch an anti-Israel imperialism protest that shook the university community over the weekend.

Students were warned by officers early Monday they would be arrested if they chose not to vacate Beinecke Plaza, where anti-Israel protesters set up tents to camp out and conduct their demonstrations.

We'll be giving a few minutes to clear this area," a police officer told protesters via a bullhorn Monday, according to videos posted to social media. "If you do not leave, you will be arrested."

Similar arrests were made at Columbia University last week when students created a "Gaza Solidarity Encampment" to protest Israel's invasion in Palestine.

Isra Hirsi, the daughter of Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., was one of the students involved in the protest and received a suspension from her college Thursday.

Images and videos from Yale's anti-Israel imperialism demonstrations were shared widely on social media over the weekend.
