My Thoughts About The So-Called "Lost Books" of the Bible

If the Bible is divinely inspired what was the need to have councils and debates throughout history about which books should be included or removed from the Bible?

Also, have Christians ever considered that the same imperious individuals who created denominations are the same as those who decided which books should or should not be considered canon?
