Are you fatigued, light headed and weak when you 'detox'?
Are you OVER-DETOXING? Over-detoxing is continuing to do cleanses and follow depleting diets for longer than necessary. The purpose of detoxification is to help a system in the body to be clear, function properly, and reduce any congestion or inflammation. Once the system, whether it's the colon, liver, kidneys or lymph, etc., is functioning properly without congestion, blockage, stagnation, then the detoxification treatment, diet or herbs should be stopped. The majority of our efforts to support our health should be focused on nourishing & strengthening, thus detoxing seasonally during Spring and Autumn.
When we fast too much, do too many juice fasts, skip too many meals and try to live off of smoothies, salads and coffee in an effort to lose weight and "detox," longer than necessary, we could call this OVER-Detoxification. This results in fatigue, degenerative bone conditions, loss of hair, atrophy, mental instability and fatigue.
