In Donald Trump’s criminal trial, the New York judge, Juan Merchan, postponed a decision on whether to fine Trump $10,000 for violating a gag order by attacking expected trial witnesses.

Trump’s lawyer, Todd Blanche, argued that Trump’s social media posts were political responses and thus permissible.
