Medical Emergency: The Rescuers Can't Even Rescue Themselves!

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department engineer died after he suffered a medical emergency while on duty at Fire Station 54 Friday night, according to Fire Captain Eric Prosswimmer.

Despite efforts of JFRD personnel and medical professionals at the hospital, Engineer Heath J. O’Shea, 44, died early Saturday morning.

They're surrounded by rescue crews, but whatever makes them go pop is a much more powerful weapon than their rescue crews can handle!

Per the CDC the VAERS system represents just a fraction of the overall death and injury events. You should multiply the result by 10 for a more accurate severe event, and by nearly 100 for all events including minor events.
