AW Saving Injured Tortoise That Was Hit By A Car

Truly heartbreaking. He’s still alive and hanging on but I’m gravely concerned. Found the little bugger on the side of a road after a car or truck ran over him. He’s a very large tortoise so it just boggles my mind that someone would just run him directly over as he was crossing. This isn’t a highway, it’s a quiet street pretty much and this shouldn’t have happened. I understand that people make mistakes and they’re not paying attention but I also know there are lots of people that disregard wildlife and make a sport out of running creatures over. I contacted eight wildlife rescues and finally someone heard my cry for help for the little bugger. His shell is cracked open and his back legs aren’t working but there’s always hope. He’s in good hands thank God right now and SOC and I gave him a little light in hope to help sustain him enough to want to fight for it.
