Well Speed Bumps ARE NOT WORKING except on stopping EMS vehicles and the disabled!

The very next day while I was crossing the speed bump at the posted 15 MPH at this cats house that says "well they are working" I was PASSED BY THIS LADY in a Ford Explorer!

Speed bumps are ONLY WORKING at stopping EMS Vehicles and several minority groups of disabled neighbors, #Discrimination!

When an EMS vehicle can't get to your house in time when you're having a heart attack you only have yourself to blame! Seconds Count.

There are 2 things that will slow down morons speeding in neighborhoods and school zones. Morality and Hefty Fines.

Unfortunately, the Knox County Sheriffs Department is not going to even attempt to get involved.

SOMEONE IS GOING TO BE INJURED OR KILLED BY THESE ILLEGAL SPEED BUMPS AND THE TOWN OF FARRAGUT WILL BE RESPONSIBLE.

SPEED BUMPS DO NOT WORK! If you don’t believe me by now neighbors come sit on my front porch for 5 minutes and watch them fly over the speed bump at 11134 Sonja Drive.

BIGOTRY & BLOCKING MINORITY GROUPS OF DISABLED AMERICANS FROM GOING TO AND FROM THEIR HOME WITH ILLEGAL SPEED BUMPS IS NOT AN OPTION!

I will never back down from standing up for the civil rights of Seniors, disabled Americans and disable Veterans that are unable to stand up and fight for themselves.

AND I WILL NEVER LET YOU FORGET THAT ON SEPTEMBER 1, 2022 THE TOWN OF FARRAGUT AND A COUPLE OF ADMIRAL ROAD & SONJA DRIVE RESIDENTS OPENLY DISCUSSED BLOCKING A NEIGHBOR THAT IS CONFINED TO A WHEELCHAIR FROM TRAVELING TO AND FROM THE STORE IN HER WHEELCHAIR VIA ADMIRAL ROAD!!! DISGUSTING BIGOTRY PLAIN AND SIMPLE!

1. CONFIRMED! Fire Department & EMS vehicles have to come to a stop for speed bumps. SECONDS COUNT!!!
2. The speed bumps are ineffective at slowing the majority of traffic.
3. A minority of traffic slows for no more than a brief second.
4. The vehicles that do briefly slow immediately accelerate to speeds as high or higher than they were previously going.
5. Noise pollution is louder due to the fast immediate acceleration.
6. Adversely, the speed bumps are 100% effective at blocking a minority group of disabled Americans from simply traveling to and from their homes.
7. While vehicles are flying over the speed bump at 11134 Sonja Drive; Kids are riding scooters and playing in the middle of Sonja Drive on this speed bump therefore placing unneeded liability on the Town of Farragut.
8. The speed limit on Sonja Drive & Admiral Road is 25 MPH but the obtrusive speed bump signs posted indicate that the speed bumps were designed for roads with a speed limit of 15 MPH.
9. The majority of most traffic is not slowed down and people are crossing the speed bumps at 30+ MPH.
10. Sonja Drive and Admiral Road are extremely dark and the speed bumps cannot be seen until the damage is already done therefore placing unneeded liability on the Town of Farragut.
11. The speed bumps are 100% ineffective at slowing down EVERYONE speeding through the 3-way stop signs at Admiral Road and Sonja Drive.
12. People are protesting the obvious ineffectiveness of the obtrusive speed bumps by blowing their horns.

The speed bumps block the following minority groups:

1. Disabled Americans confined to wheelchairs.
2. A detriment to Seniors that have to come to a complete stop which in turn causes tempers to flare and road rage from the vehicles behind them that are also forced to stop.
3. Persons that suffer from excruciating back pain have to come to a complete stop which in turn causes tempers to flare and road rage from the vehicles behind them that are also forced to stop.
4. Speed bumps that block these minority groups of disabled Americans civil rights is also a violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.

ADA Implications

ADA, Title II, State and Local Government, Department of Justice Regulations, 28 CFR Part 35.

§35.104 Definitions.

Facility means all or any portion of buildings, structures, sites, complexes, equipment, rolling stock, or other conveyances, roads, walks, passageways, parking lots, or other real or personal property, including the site where building, property, structure, or equipment is located.

The ADA law also addresses the new construction and alterations of roadways.

§35.151 New Construction and Alterations.

(a) Design and construction. Each facility or part of a facility constructed by, on behalf of, or for the use of a public entity shall be designed and constructed in such manner that the facility or part of the facility is readily accessible to and usable by individuals with disabilities, if the construction was commenced after January 26, 1992.
