NEW YORK In Donald Trump's criminal trial, where he is accused of fabricating company documents to conceal a hush money payment made during the 2016 presidential campaign, the day's proceedings concluded early on Monday afternoon. The first witness called by the prosecution was David Pecker, the former publisher of the National Enquirer, who gave a brief testimony on his use of "checkbook journalism" to finance articles. According to the prosecution, Pecker did this to support Trump's presidential campaign. Earlier, in the opening remarks, the defense team for Trump informed the jury that none of his actions were illegal, while the prosecution promised "damning" testimony from a crucial witness. Tuesday morning is when the trial is supposed to continue. https://ln.ki/BillionaireBrainWave
