This classic comic was printed under the name DC Silver Age Classics Detective Comics as part of a series of reprints celebrating the era of DC Comics using a specific printer for decades. In this issue Batman and Robin find themselves unable to move near a certain criminal after being marked with a mysterious material. Also, Elongated Man uncovers some jewel thieves.
This issue marks the first appearance of the yellow oval Bat symbol.
