Little Kids Epically Wreck Their Pedal Cars In Downhill Race

There is a certain rush that comes from almost uncontrollably racing downhill as fast as you can. Sometimes the feeling starts in your belly like a rollercoaster drop and other’s it’s just that feeling of wind rushing across your face.

These two kids are attempting to race their different pedal cars downhill to the family garage…

Surprisingly, pedal cars have existed for lot longer than we were expecting. According to some research we did, the first factory built pedal cars were made in 1890s. Like modern pedal cars they were made from metal, though in those early days it was usually steal where today is more likely to be cheaper aluminum. The early pedal cars even had working lights, which is insane to think about. There was a shift to wood framed ones in 1920s but eventually they went back to medal. The pedal car was fairly popular up until the 1970s when Big Wheels were introduced. However, Rubbermaid’s Little Tikes Cozy Coupe appeared in 1979.

Neither of these kids are great drivers and luckily won’t have licenses anytime soon because…OOF!

You may recognize the Cozy Coupe as the red-bodied, yellow roofed pedal car of your childhood that was made entirely from plastic. That’s because it is still in production today. You can buy variants of the Cozy Coupe in stores right now. As we can see in this video, the little girl is using a cozy coupe where the little boy is using a more traditional metal pedal car. Either way, they are both not good at controlling them. The little boy nearly slams into the back of a minivan and the little girl somehow manages to totally flip her car on the way down.
