April 21, 1985 - Backstage Interview & 'POV' Footage of Todd Rundgren/Utopia in Fort Wayne

This was shot for cable access by Vic Koshurin, who asks the questions and deals with the wry replies from the admittedly "punchy" Rundgren and his bandmates. It took place before soundcheck on April 21, 1985 at the Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Vic was a friend and lent me the tape (which never aired) so I could dub it. The original 3/4" master is probably in a landfill somewhere; this is my home Betamax dupe, cleaned up as well as possible.

After the interview, the recording picks up with 'Play This Game' (the set opener; it is briefly audio only) and then Todd Rundgren, Kasim Sulton, Willie Wilcox and Roger Powell play 'Style.' Imperfect, but a pretty cool document of the time. The band stopped touring and recording after this set of dates.
