Daniel Chapter 9 is Very Misunderstood, CHRIST Confirms Covenant

NOTE: At one point I showed 458 BC on the screen because the 7th years of Artaxerxes STARTED during our 458 B.C BUT it continued into our year 457 BC and THAT is when Ezra went forth with the command. The end result, 26 AD, and 33 AD, was done as from 457 BC.

NOTE: Most translations say that in the "middle" of the last week "he" shall cause the sacrifice to be cease. The Hebrew in 9:27 really says "half". In HALF the week He shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to be ACCOMPLISHED. IOW, He doesn't need the whole seven years, He does it in half that seven years- I think the last half. This half of a seven is the last half of the 70th seven year period and corresponds to the public ministry of Christ. The terrors and jugements that fall on the Jewish people after that were fulfilled over decades in 70 AD and the Bar Kochba rebellion.

Daniel's Seventy Weeks of Years, the prophecy given in the ninth chapter of Daniel, is perhaps the most powerful confirmation that Jesus Christ is indeed Messiah of all the many prophetic utterances in the pages of the bible. Yet somehow the church, in particular the dispensationalist church in America, has managed to scramble the interpretation of this passage so thoroughly that it's incredible power is obscured.

I teach this passage as straight-up fulfilled by Christ, and refutes the belief common in evangelical circles that "time is suspended for the church age" between the 69th and 70th "weeks".
