We continue a study of the book of Job. The LORD gives Satan permission to attack Job personally, but not kill him. Satan covers Job with boils, so that he sits in ashes and scrapes himself with a piece of broken pottery. His wife urges him to curse God and die, but he refuses to do it. Job's three friends come to visit him, and are so moved by his appearance that they weep and cannot speak for a week. Finally, Job speaks, and he curses the day he was born.
