My name is Mumtaz Mahal, and I was born into the royal family of Persia in the year 1593. From a young age, I was surrounded by the splendor of the court, but it was not until I met Shah Jahan that my life truly began to take shape. Shah Jahan, a prince of the Mughal Empire, captured my heart with his kindness, intelligence, and unwavering love.

As we embarked on our journey together, Shah Jahan and I shared countless moments of joy and happiness. His love for me knew no bounds, and I reciprocated his affection with all my heart. Together, we navigated the complexities of court life, supporting each other through both triumphs and challenges.

In the year 1612, Shah Jahan and I were blessed with our first child, and over the years, our family grew with the arrival of many more beloved children. As a mother, I cherished every moment spent with my children, instilling in them the values of kindness, compassion, and humility.

However, our happiness was tinged with sorrow when tragedy struck in the year 1631. During childbirth, I faced complications that ultimately led to my untimely passing. Though I was saddened to leave behind my beloved Shah Jahan and our children, I found solace in the knowledge that our love would endure for eternity.

Before my passing, I entrusted Shah Jahan with a solemn promise—to build a monument that would stand as a symbol of our eternal love. True to his word, Shah Jahan embarked on the construction of the Taj Mahal, a masterpiece of architecture and a testament to our enduring bond.

As I look down upon the Taj Mahal from the heavens above, I am filled with gratitude for the love and memories that Shah Jahan and I shared. Though I may no longer walk this earth, my spirit lives on in the timeless beauty of the Taj Mahal, a monument to love that will stand for all eternity.
