There are 30 different wallaby species in the world. They’re native to Australia and New Guinea and are smaller than kangaroos. They have a sturdy body, strong hind legs, and a large tail to hop and jump long distances. The stable wallaby has good agility and speed to navigate challenging terrains. Their fur provides camouflage in their habitats, which include forests, grasslands, and rocky hills. The shy wallabies are mostly nocturnal vegetarians, eating grass, leaves, flowers, and moss, sometimes nibbling on little insects. Their strong teeth and complex digestive systems allows them to extract nutrients and moisture from their food. They don’t have vocal cords but communicate by clicking and thumping their feet.

Wallabies are marsupials with a forward opening pouch. After a 5 week gestation period, a tiny, underdeveloped joey emerges and crawls into the mother's pouch where it continues development. The joey remains in the pouch for several months, nursing on its mother's milk. As it grows, it ventures out for short periods, eventually becoming fully independent.

The social quokka wallaby is called the world’s happiest animal. They’re very friendly and seem to be always smiling. The well-grounded wallabies are intelligent, focused, and balanced. They’re symbols of resilience, resourcefulness, and adaptability. When you’re looking for a new way to move forward, call on their spirit.
