Storyline:
In the coastal town of Bellington, a young teenager named Ben visits his father for the summer after his parents' divorce. Ben's arrival coincides with the appearance of strange occurrences in the town, including mysterious disappearances and reports of missing pets. Despite the warnings from the locals, Ben dismisses the rumors as superstition.

However, when Ben witnesses his neighbor's unsettling behavior and notices strange markings on her son's body, he becomes convinced that something sinister is at play. As he investigates further, Ben discovers that an ancient creature known as "The Wretched" has been preying on the townsfolk, masquerading as their loved ones while feeding on their flesh.

With the help of Mallory, a rebellious girl from town, Ben uncovers the creature's dark history and realizes that it has been terrorizing Bellington for centuries, taking on different forms to evade detection. As the creature sets its sights on Ben's own family, he must race against time to stop it before it claims more victims.

Armed with ancient knowledge passed down through generations, Ben and Mallory confront The Wretched in a final showdown. But as they confront the creature in its lair deep in the forest, they realize that defeating it may come at a greater cost than they ever imagined.

In a thrilling climax filled with twists and turns, Ben must confront his deepest fears and make the ultimate sacrifice to save his family and rid Bellington of The Wretched once and for all.
