The Viking Invention of Gunpowder – Atgeirr – Sensational New Discovery!
"Recent historical findings suggest that the discovery of gunpowder may have been made independently and before it came to Europe, by Viking settlers in Iceland.
Because, there is a story in the Icelandic Saga’s that appears to describe the invention of gunpowder in Iceland between 800 and 1000 A.D.
The saga portrays a young man from a humble background who attains mastery in weapon-smiting and is credited with constructing a formidable weapon called the Atgeirr, which is referenced multiple times, but not adequately described in the Saga’s. Until now!"
This is an April fools joke by Jackson Crawford last year, and I fell for it, hook line and sinker! This is NOT real, but I thought you might have a good laugh over me, not realizing that it was April's fools day...
