"White House Retracts Biden's Cannibal Tale as False"
108
The White House admitted that President Joe Biden misspoke when he claimed his uncle was eaten by cannibals in New Guinea during World War II. Initially presented as a dramatic wartime tale, the correction came after Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre highlighted Biden's pride in his uncle's military service before revealing the true cause of death. His uncle, Ambrose Finnegan, actually perished in a plane crash over the Pacific, not from cannibalism.
