I’m sure you’ve all heard the proverb made popular in the 2002 ‘Spider Man’ movie starring Tobey Maguire that goes something like this, “with great power, comes great responsibility.” Well, let me see if I can persuade you to agree with my 2024 version: “With great corruption, comes great idiocy (and irresponsibility)”. Something along those lines.

Most in our government, as well as many churches in America have taken the side of the ‘Palestinians’ while marginalizing Israel. Many churches have also turned to the heretical belief of Replacement Theology. We are witnessing in real time how Israel is being vilified on the world stage. Nevertheless, the questions still remain. Does Israel matter? Why should we care? Are they really all that special? What should my attitude be towards the nation of Israel in light of Scripture?
