A BBC investigation suggests more than 50,000Russian soldiers have died in the war in Ukraine.Researchers from the BBC and the independentRussian website Mediazona studied burial sites andother evidence. The Kremlin does not disclose official figures.

The war also continues to claim many Ukrainian lives.The latest Russian missile strike has killed 17 people and injured at least 70 more.

Ukraine's President Zelensky called on his country'sallies to offer the same support as they have shown toIsrael. A $49 billion proposed new aid package is dueto be voted on in Washington in the coming days.
