A 15-year-old armed robber was chased away by a female shop worker - wielding a bottle of water.

The bungling teen entered Samares Stores armed with a pocket knife and demanded money out the till.

But the brave woman behind the counter refused before picking up a half-empty water bottle and whacking the boy on the hand.

The minor tap seems to have a massive effect on the robber as he fled the store red-faced and empty handed.
