Our journey begins at the mesmerizing Golden Bridges - These natural wonders, though not actual bridges, evoke a sense of magic and wonder. The Golden Bridges is a stone river on Vitosha Mountain. The name is derived from the golden coloured liken that covers the massive stones. As the sun rises or sets, these rocks truly come alive, casting a warm, golden glow. The rock landform has been shaped over time by the combined forces of wind, and water, involving five processes, such as: weathering, solifluction, frost heaving, frost sorting, and washing. Step into the Dolls Museum, tucked away in a charming corner of Sofia. Here, rows of antique dolls come to life, each with a story to tell. From porcelain beauties to handcrafted marionettes, this museum is a portal to childhood dreams and forgotten tales. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself smiling at these silent companions.The exhibition includes about 3000 dolls from Bulgaria, as well as from other countries. Our final stop takes us to the Druzhba neighbourhood, where imposing concrete towers stand as silent witnesses to Bulgaria’s past. Built during the communist era, these structures evoke both awe and nostalgia.
