A sophisticated effort was made to mine the gold over a vast area. The stone walls and hill top fortifications look Celtic/Phoenician, as in Western Europe and Peru. The zig zag pattern in the walls (56:41) is identical to that found at Kuelap and in Spain. The abundant glass beads are a Phoenician hallmark. They made fortunes trading them for gold and other resources. They've been found all over the Americas. The iron weapons and sophisticated stone work prove Whites were the builders.
1 Kings 10:11: "And the navy also of Hiram, that brought gold from Ophir, brought in from Ophir great plenty of almug trees, and precious stones. 22: For the king had at sea a navy of Tharshish (Phoenicians) with the navy of Hiram: once in three years came the navy of Tharshish, bringing gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks.”
1 Chronicles 29:4: "Even three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the houses withal."
1 Chronicles 8:18: "And Hiram sent him by the hands of his servants ships, and servants that had knowledge of the sea; and they went with the servants of Solomon to Ophir, and took thence four hundred and fifty talents of gold, and brought them to king Solomon."
1 Kings 22:48: "Jehoshaphat made ships of Tharshish to go to Ophir for gold: but they went not; for the ships were broken at Eziongeber." Eziongeber was at the north end of the Red Sea's eastern Gulf of Aqaba, proving that Ophir was indeed reached by sailing down the east coast of Africa.
