When PM Albo says: " No Place for Violence"
The past week has unleashed seismic shifts in the Australian landscape, altering the fabric of our way of life beyond recognition.
In the wake of these tragedies, calls for change are inevitable.
Yet, beware: the radical left threatens to enact laws that could fatally undermine our democratic principles.
Pushing through laws like Stop, Search, and Detain for edged weapons without reasonable suspicion is like slapping a band-aid on someone who's just had open-heart surgery. It's a superficial fix for a deeply rooted problem.
In a full-page opinion piece published yesterday, April 17th, 2024, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese briefly addressed the vicious attack on Bishop Mar Mari Emanuel in just two lines, devoting the rest of the article entirely to the Bondi shopping center attack.
There is no doubting the tragedy of the Bondi shopping center attack trumps the attack at The Good Shepard Church, if directly evident personal impact is the marker.
Yet, at the preceding press conference, Prime Minister Albo failed to address the elephant in the room: the root cause behind the attack on Bishop Mar Mari Emanuel.
Albo skirted around the issue, unable to acknowledge the presence of radicalized Islamists within our communities and the lack of effective policies or laws to counter this alarming trend.
However, the elephant in the room behind a root cause of the attack on Bishop Mar Mari Emanuel w
as distinctly missing with PM Albo’s address at the preceding presso.
Albo continues to turn a blind eye to the surge in immigration, brushing off the strain on infrastructure and the rushed background checks.
He conveniently sidesteps any discussion of the spike in radicalized Islamists amidst the influx. No policies or laws are even close to tackling this dangerous trend.
When Albo says:
“There is no place for violence in our community, this is a time to unite and not divide our community."
Many in the community view his words as mere platitudes.
Many recall the politicians' mantra during the pandemic:
"We are ALL in this together."
But now it's clear to most that the government's approach was the biggest divider in Australia's history, tearing apart the very fabric of the community quashing supposed unity.
