600+ FPE and 200+ FPE using air. Casting my own slugs out of wheel weights. A preppers dream. Using solar to air gun up and melt lead and cast bullets and size done. No shell casings, no gun powder, No primer, bullet press anyone? No thanks.
We're shooting a 270g and a 130g round. 9mm is lee lugar 127g but the weight 130g with my setup. .457 in a 270g form casting with accurate molds.Shooting targets today are a fighter extinguisher and a propane tank (both empty). Hand gun power vs these two chucks of metal are a good bench of what kinda power we are dealing with here at 100 yards and 175yards, Also the famous phone book test at the end. 9mm do have a hard time with phone books. It was about 3 in and half of paper and cardboard as well. With the 270g bullet I get six good shots. However, first 3 are above 1000fps . last 3 980fps ,955fps ,912fps. You do get a few more shots like 3 more however long range shooting you want the power to be the same. saying that the 9th shot ends of around 750fps. Still with 270g that's 300+fpe which is more then a 9mm or maybe with plus P ammo all wrapped in a .45 form. I feel having lighter rounds like my 222g super hollowpoints would be a good second mag keeping those higher speeds. They do make a Elite model just like mine but without the power valve installed and it makes around 400plus FPE. That's fine for 180g or 220g. However, it's has a reg on it and that makes each shot perfect by having the same pressure every time until empty. However i can fill mine to 5000psi and get 750fpe with heavier rounds in the 340's with this gun.
