Christians are solemnly and repeatedly warned of the emergence of the Antichrist power, the second Babylon, the "mother of harlots," who would persecute the true seed, who would be "drunk with the blood of the saints," who would be wounded (during the Reformation) yet rise again, and who would, in one final Satanic orgy of blasphemy and bloodshed, cause all who would not worship him or his image to be killed.
