French police have removed hundreds of migrantsfrom a camp in Paris as part of an operation toprepare the capital for hosting the 2024 Olympic Games.
The camp in Vitry-sur-Seine was home to more than400 migrants before police carried out a large-scale eviction.
Authorities say the squat was illegal, as they push todismantle homeless and migrant camps ahead of theGames, but aid workers fear that those evicted nowlack longer-term housing assistance.
