Heavy rain has battered Gulf states, causing flashfloods that have killed 20 people and disrupted flightsat the world's second-busiest airport.

Dubai Airport said it was facing "very challengingconditions", and advised passengers not to turn up asrunways were flooded with water.

Authorities warned that more thunderstorms, heavyrain and strong winds were forecast, with manylow-lying areas still under water.
