Are all U.S. Presidents from the Same Bloodline?
In 2012, BridgeAnne d’Avignon, an aspiring historian from Salinas, California, did a complex genealogical study of all U.S. presidents—through Barack Obama, the current president at that time—and discovered that not only is President Obama related to all but one U.S. president, but also that 42 out of the 43 U.S. presidents are related to each other, and they all have a common ancestor: England’s King John I. It was King John I who chartered the Magna Carta, the defining document that later became the British Constitution.
