Yes, crows do keep hawks away. They are known to mob and harass hawks, acting as a deterrent. This behavior is observed because hawks are seen as a threat to crows, particularly to their nests, nestlings, and territory. Crows are protective of their young and will engage in aggressive behavior to drive away potential predators, including hawks.

The other thing we have done is get a Rooster. Our new rooster is wonderful. He is gentle and very attentive to the flock. He is not very vocal at all and we have not lost a hen since introducing him months ago. Here is a quick video of just how protective a good rooster can be. Have a great day everyone.
