City tackles issue of noisy leaf blowers

Rumble Naples city leaders examined the issue of noisy leaf blowers at their regular meeting on Wednesday. Some residents say while they might be necessary for lawn maintenance, they're just too loud. "None of our leaf blowers comply with city ordinance," resident Jim Streicher told council members. According to the noise ordinance for Naples, violations can mean being audible at a distance of 25 feet or more from a property line. But the city only receives a few complaints every year.
