Israel's war cabinet met to discuss its response on Monday night but did not say whether a decision had been reached.

World leaders have strongly condemned Iran's actions,but urged Benjamin Netanyahu's government to show restraint.

The Israeli military's chief of staff said the attack "will be met with a response".

Meanwhile, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is due tospeak to Netanyahu to discuss how to prevent "further escalation".
