A captured prisoner from Kharkov wanted to leave for Poland, but the border guards did not release him and sent him to the military enlistment office

There he was deemed fit and sent to the front, where he received a concussion and came under fire from his own tank unit.

After capture, the Russian side offered him an exchange, but he refused.
