Civil War holds a special place in my heart, owed partly to the attention given to its characters and also because it represents a high-point for storytelling in the MCU that only The Avengers and Infinity War came close to reaching. Typically this scene is discussed within the context of the conflicting ideologies or philosophies of the two main characters, or with regards to its implications for worldbuilding, but here I chose to delve into individual characters' backstories to see how the pieces of the puzzle fit together - quite nicely if I do say so myself.
