Today's Terrible Judge: Nigel Morrisson

Today’s terrible judge comes to you from Scotland, where Sheriff Nigel Morisson freed rapist Mohammad akram. This serial sex offender and convicted killer with 40 years of sentences was able to carry out a series of rapes after a sheriff ruled he was not a danger to the public.
Akram was the first offender to get his Sexual Offences Prevention Order lifted in the history of Scotland which meant he was no longer under constant police supervision, enabling him to rape women in Glasgow’s Pollokshields and Edinburrow’s New Haven.
Even as Sheriff Nigel Morrison freed him from the order, Akram had already began abusing his latest victim and continued to rape her for another five years after the controversial decision. One of his victims from 1997 took her own life.

Akram is due to be sentenced later this month by trial judge Gillian Wade K.C. Let’s hope that judge understands their role much better.
