This is somewhat unrelated, however: I now believe that paranormal incidences and even Sasquatch and UFO encounters happen only when we allow the idea of it to enter our minds.
Sort of like the Vampire myth about they not being able to enter your home unless you invite them in. Or, how satanist believe it necessary to inform us of their intent. To somehow make it okay to commit evil upon us. These ideas all seem related to me. Also, that explains why the righteous and innocent seem immune to evil and paranormal events. Now, I'm not saying it all in your head, I'm saying you consciously open a mental door and that is why the paranormal happens.
