Vlogging With A G9 II - Will It Be As Good As My Sony E1

I totally enjoy using the Sony E1 just to get high quality stuff and also to whip out some quick videos for the Patreon Channel and for other quick uses. I used the G9 II today - but just know that the camera is almost exactly like the full frame S5 Mark II I already own.Show more

So what I can do with one camera I can also do with the other one. With one HUGE caveat - the lenses do NOT fit each other!! Randy got me my very first lenses that are native to the S5 II so I am excited to start using the camera in a professional level of output and also for the camera to just be more useful.

The 9mm lens that B&H loaned me seems to do okay for vlogging on the G9II with the camera not being IN MY FACE or being to close where it is uncomfortable. That makes it favorable to possibly include the S5 II but with it's own 18mm Lumix lens. I am going to try and get one of those to try here as a loaner.

And lurking dangerously in the shadows is that Osmo Pocket v3 camera that could wipe out the need for basically ANY OTHER camera for the active vlogging game. Of course, with lots of money you can own them all lol. But for the more "frugal" bunch of us, maybe one camera or 2 is about the most to go with.

If someone one came to me TODAY and wanted only ONE camera to do it all for a normal "life" I could do any better than to recommend the Sony ZV-E1. It does it all, and the surprise it then does more!!! There ARE some secrets to the camera though, and only after you use it for a while do they start to rise to the surface. I'm not sure whether to put that out in public, or for that info to be behind a paywall (like Patreon - it's only a buck, but still, what value does that hold?)

Nothing is perfect, and this simple video needs quite a bit of "massaging, but it ain't bad - it ain't bad at all. Makes me even more excited to see if the full frame S5II can match or eceed it!!!
