Iran announces the start of revenge operation – “They will regret”

Iran's supreme leader has promised to punish Israel for air strikes that targeted an Iranian consulate building in the Syrian capital. The air strikes on Monday evening killed seven Iranian military officers, including two top generals. While Israel is yet to admit carrying out the attack, global players including China and Russia are pointing fingers at Israel. Monday's attack followed a missile attack on Syria last week that killed more than 50 people. Israel has previously accused Iran of using Syria to funnel money and weapons to its anti-Israel proxies.
