MOTOCROSS AT WILDTRACKS CHIPPENHAM
The sand-based track is recognised as one of the best motocross circuits in the UK. At Wild Tracks. They offer a great motocross experience whether you’re a novice or an experienced rider. The main track is well suited to all riders, and we have the Kennett Track and the Autos’ Oval for junior riders. To ride at WildTracks you will need a bike, helmet, goggles, boots, gloves, motocross trousers and top, and hard shell body armour front and back!

Spares, repairs, consumables and tyres available on site from Del who is in the mx paddock every practice weekend. Del also supplies helmets, boots, and clothing for adults and juniors and has a small range of tools available too. Del can be reached on 07595 639 060, and offers tyre fitting and puncture repairs and takes cash or card payments.

The main track is 1,500m of challenging and exciting riding and the layout is regularly changed with new jumps and table tops added or altered. Kennett Track is 700m and also has jumps and corners and is available to 85cc bikes and below. The Kennett Track allows riders to build their skills and confidence before moving on to the main track. We also have a a flat Autos’ Oval for our very youngest riders.

At WildTracks we care about your safety and our marshals all receive regular safety training. We also have qualified first aid personnel and a dedicated first aid centre. We recently installed a state-of-the-art traffic light system on the Main Track to further assist in rider safety.

Please note that our motocross tracks are only open for practice on Saturdays and Sundays, weather permitting and when we are not hosting a race meeting.

Expert, Intermediates and Novice group – £45
85cc and below on the main track – £40
100cc bikes and below on the Kennett track £25
(All bikes must conform to our 96dBa noise limit.)

Booking

Unless they are already sold out, booking closes for Saturdays at 8am on the day and for Sundays at 8am on the day.

Wildtracks do not allow pit bikes, Chinese copies of bikes and pull starts. Please do not book one as you will lose the ride. No electric bikes to be used in the paddock (revi style bikes). Please contact the office if you have a query on what bikes we allow.

The final decision whether the site will open will be made by 7am on the day and a message posted on our facebook page.

On-site rules

These rules are important to keep all riders/spectators/marshals safe throughout the day, and enhance the enjoyment of all.

On arrival, please do not block the road, please park in the paddock and then return to the office to sign on.

Please do not start any bikes until 9.50.

No riding in the paddock.

Body armour is essential (front and back), you will not be allowed to ride without it.

Please obey all flags/lights whilst on track.

All parents/riders wishing to go trackside must wear a hi-vis vest or jacket. This rule applies to all 3 tracks (main track, Kennet track and the auto tracks).

Any rider caught riding under the influence of drugs or alcohol will receive an instant 2 year ban from site.

Hot food, drinks and snacks are available from our great Diner at the karting track end of the paddock.

On-site medical facilities

On-site Camping

Camping is available most weekends. The site is perfect for the whole family with a great picnic area, a children’s playground and secure on site facilities. Responsible dog owners with friendly dogs are also very welcome to bring their dogs but please keep them under control and clear up after them. It is not always necessary to book for camping, at quieter times you can turn up before the gates close at 10pm.

When entering/leaving the site outside usual working hours, be aware and make sure the top security barrier is open.
No fires or BBQs directly on the ground. Empty all BBQs and fire pits into the ash bin provided (located on the concrete pad opposite the sign on office), and not onto the floor/or into the rubbish bins.
All dogs to be kept on leads and cleared up after.
Generators to be switched off at 11pm.
Put all waste oil in the drum provided by the sign-on office, and not in the rubbish bins.
Please stay out of the marshal towers.
