The Sun: Dramatic video appears to show the moment an audacious pro-Ukrainian sabotage team flew two drones up close to a £274 million Russian Beriev A-50U spy plane before allegedly causing it severe damage.

Extraordinary footage shows a lack of airfield defences in Belarus as the small drones were able to get close to the fibreglass dome of the aircraft, housing the rotating antenna of the powerful Shmel radar complex.

One drone even lands on the dome before taking off again during a reconnaissance mission.

Another drone reconnoitres the Putin A-50U before the screen suddenly goes blank.

It is not clear if this is the moment of detonation, and if so, the scale of any explosion.

The footage is from Machulishchi military base, near Minsk.
